Standing desks will help my students get the energy out of their system while still learning. It will also help engage them during the learning process. We students are asked to sit up in a confining desk all day, sometimes the learning process is hindered. By accommodating different learning styles, we are fostering learning for all students. The standing desks will allow students that are having a hard time sitting still, to be able to stand and work out their "fidgets" while still learning. If we are not constantly redirecting students because of behaviors, this will give us more time for academics. If students are comfortable, the chances of them paying attention and actually retaining the information being taught, are greater. Not to mention, it is healthier for them to be standing and burning calories than sitting.
