Being able to listen to text enables English Language learners and all students to gain a better understanding of fluency, letter sounds, and aids in comprehension of stories and ideas. Students in our class use audio through math, language, science, and social studies curriculum to assist in small groups, enrichment activities, and remediation. Some of our standardized tests also include an audio element and our grade level does not have the technology to complete these test, therefore we are restricted on when we can borrow from other grade levels or the library. Having our own class set of headphones will equip our students to take their tests when they are ready and able.
