The iPads and Osmo Learning System will allow my students to interactively engage with technology. The Osmo allows the iPad to recognize tangible pieces that students place in front of it. The kit has number tiles, letter tiles and tangrams; of which students collaborate and manipulate. This will allow my students a more purposeful use of technology. Rather than just a solitary screen swiping activity, they will be able to play learning games individually or in small groups with various challenge levels to meet students' differing needs. Your donation will give my students access to new technology; this is an investment in the future. Our classes are not equipped technologically to meet the growing needs in this digital age. The Osmo fosters learning in a fun, creative, hands-on way. The Osmo is TIME's best invention of 2014 and Scholastic's Teacher Pick of 2015.
