As a new teacher with a new classroom, my students are limited to the basic furniture provided by our school district. I believe that providing my students with alternative seating choices will allow them to chose the seating that is most comfortable to them, which will, in turn, enhance their engagement and promote learning. I believe that when a student is comfortable in their learning environment, they will achieve more. It is my goal to provide numerous seating options to my students and this project will get me one step closer to that goal. The addition of these seats will allow my students alternatives to the hard chairs they are used to sitting on.

About my class
