These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will help me meet 7th grade physical education standards for developing their individual skills. Like many schools, equipment may be limited. If I am provided with this equipment for my students I will keep count and accountability for my class only instead of it being used, misplaced or taken by four other PE classes, substitutes, lunch time activities, or the after school program. I teach non-traditional, individual and dual, standard-based activities to my PE classes. The students participate in martial arts, dance, speedminton, fitness, track and field and create-a-game; sport skills as a unit can transfer across the skills of many different sports and keeps motivation and engagement high as the last activity of the school year.
