Right now our cooking and food preparation classes only have 50 minutes to prep, cook, eat, and cleanup. Wow! So to keep help them out they need a label maker to label the cabinets and drawers so they can easily locate the items they need. The canisters will also assist in maintaining the freshness of their food items at each station. Food prepared in this class goes to the students to eat, or is donated to a charitable organization in our community. Students who are in this class learn to prepare nutritious food for themselves and their families. Students interested in pursuing a career in the food industry or culinary arts are given a more in depth approach and take an exam to certify them to work in the restaurant industry at the end of the course. The preparation of meals is becoming a lost skill in today's society. Please help us reinforce this life skill by organizing the chaos of 6 kitchens in one room!
