My fifth grade class is in Washington state. Many of my students are economically deprived of opportunities that would be afforded to the middle class. Our school is 65% free lunch. These kids are eager to learn and get very excited whenever the activity involves hands on learning. Most of my students have little exposure to science or experiences outside of their neighborhood or my classroom.
