My students are unique in every way. Not a day goes by without love, laughter, and learning. My students come from a variety of backgrounds but the majority of them come from poverty stricken homes. Often times they come from migrant families that move from town to town depending on work. The school I work at receives federal funding from Title I, II, and III as well as a variety of other public funding for low income schools. The school I work in is very culturally diverse and appreciates the bountiful knowledge that brings to our buildings identity. In our school we also have a LARGE population of English Language Learners. This creates many barriers for students but I do everything in my power to help the students succeed. By providing students with a variety of literature from different genres I feel that I am providing students the world, we can travel anywhere in books!
