Most of my students are English language learners and need hands-on and visual representations of our lessons to promote understanding and comprehension. "The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." Mark Van Doren I am working in a Title 1 School with 100% low income school with a majority of English Language learners. The Entire school is on free lunch. We are a California distinguished school with a art, music and technology focus. While our curriculum is set up to get our students excited to read, and teach our students to read over 80 sight words in Kindergarten, it lacks visuals and hand-on resources, and materials to instruct our English language students and all students. We have a great family oriented community here at our school and our entire faculty is working towards making a better future for our students.
