My students need books and stories with positive characters and role models that reflect their culture. Promoting a love of reading is what I strive to bring my students everyday. As a reading specialist I know the importance of daily reading. I tell my students every day that reading is hard word but the more you read the better reader you will become. Having books and stories with characters that my students can identify with will help them grow as readers. Choosing books that interest them will help capture their attention which will lead to my students becoming voracious readers. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. Frank Sarafini said "There is no such thing as a child who hates to read, only children that have not found the right book." This project will help my students discover their love for books and their love of reading
