I have 22 charismatic 5 and 6 year olds. They love to sing and dance. I use technology ALL of the time in my classroom to motivate and further enhance my lessons. My students vary not only in age, but also socioeconomically. I have students who are English Language Learners and some who have IEP's. I am always on the Internet showing real life videos and images to help my students better understand material being taught. I have students who have been to pre-school, and are reading, and I also have students who never attended school before and who don't know a letter or sound. With all of the varying abilities within my classroom, differentiating instruction is key. The iPads will enable me to individualize and differentiate instruction for my students in an engaging and motivating way through the use of APPS and web sites, videos and songs. My school is a large school with over 800 students. We are a large urban school district.
