These materials will be used by a diverse community of seventh graders (varied genders, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences) to craft together. After spending so much time at home, isolated and away from a school environment, my students need opportunities to reconnect and interact with peers in an accepting atmosphere outside the classroom, after school hours. These materials used by our Cricut craft club will promote creativity and, more importantly, build community and student confidence by giving them an inclusive, welcoming place to go after school. Together, they will create original designs and bring them to life on various Cricut projects: bedroom door signs, bedroom wall decor, cups and mugs, and even t-shirts.
