Our school is student centered in all we do! The whiteboard table will enhance our interactive classroom. Students will use the table to express their thinking in math and science problem solving, practice writing vocabulary, sight words and build sentences. With a class of 26 wonderful kindergarteners, I use a variety of teaching strategies to reach all students. Small group instruction maximizes students attention, focus, and interaction with classmates. This table will be a tool to show their learning and an assessment tool for me. My students are curious, creative, and full of energy for fun learning. My students are noticeably more engaged when I teach using different methods and materials to meet all their different learning styles. We will use this table everyday all day! Kindergarten students are learning to recognize and write letters, numbers, and words, perform math tasks representing their thinking, practice writing sight words to advance their reading, compose sentences during writers workshop, show their artistic expression and so much more.
