As adults, when we work we want to comfortable and have the ability to choose seating based on our needs. This is no different for children. Providing a variety of seating options for my students will allow them to choose a work space that meets their needs. These needs vary in my students from quiet secluded spaces, to wiggle seats or yoga balls that allow students to move while remaining focused and engaged. Being able to move seats will minimize behavior issues and allow for more collaboration among students. My students will have the freedom to find spaces in our classroom that allow them to be productive, engaged, and become life long learners.
