My Kindergarten students need different options for seating in our room. Not all students are able to sit in a regular chair or on the floor during the long school day. I have two wobble chairs in my room that the students have been taking turns using but it's not enough. They will all benefit from having soft floor seats, wobble cushions, balance balls, and fidget bands for their chairs, These different seat options will allow them to find what is comfortable for them so they can focus on their learning. The clipboards will be used as a hard writing surface while they are sitting on the floor. The variety of fidget toys will help my students calm down and stay focused during our lessons, which will improve their learning. Children who are easily distracted, can’t sit in their seat, or have anxiety benefit from fidget toys to help their bodies stay calm and focused. Any type of movement activity they can do while still sitting in their seat is important for their learning development and to get their brain working.
