My classroom has a very large number of students with diverse needs. My goal is to have a fully engaged classroom that meets all of my student's needs. A fully engaged classroom creates a seamless classroom community and encourages active learning. Research has suggested that alternative seating in the classroom helps all students reach academic success with helping keep their bodies regulated. Flexible seating will help the students stay focused and it also allows them to get their "wiggles" out. The core enrichment stools will help the students who have the most difficult time staying still. The balance balls are a great way to allow students to have movement in the classroom that does not interfere with other student learning. Wiggle seats are a great way for students to participate in flexible seating and still use a traditional chair. The bean bag chairs will be used in the classroom calm down section.
