My students will have an individual Flex-Space Student Storage Bin to store their guided reading materials in. These materials will include various books on their instructional and independent reading level, word work materials, a pencil, and a journal to respond to stories through writing. They will bring their book bin to my guided reading table during guided reading instruction and use their book bin at different times of the day to reread their books. My students need to reread their guided reading books independently to build fluency and practice the skills they have learned in group time. The end goal in guided reading, is for students to become confident, proficient readers who LOVE to read!
