The mission of the Tiger Mentorships is to provide support for students who are struggling with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. The program will provide meaningful connections between students and dedicated mentors. Mentorships will build trusting relationships, positive attitudes, and life skills in youth through guidance and social experiences. The interactive handbook is a wonderful resource full of strategies for both mentors and students. It is organized into sections that covers topics from self organization to how to cultivate a successful relationship between the mentors and students. Student's won't have just a portfolio of work they've done but a portfolio of progress they've made in social emotional well-being, self-sufficiency, and academic work.
