My room only has a few shelves to store items for math workshop. With this shelf I can organize manipulatives in order to help students learn math concepts without a long break to go through materials. Organizing materials will make it easier to clean up after math workshop. It will also give me the ability to provide each group or partner with the necessary materials to learn quickly so they have more time on any given concept. The more room I have for storage in my room, the more hands on activities I can provide for me students. Children thrive with hands on activities.
