One of the main goals of our art department is to expose students to as many different materials, styles, and techniques as possible to help them find what they love about Art. Not every student enters our program wanting to be an artist when they grow up, and that’s okay! We want every student to leave art class having found something about art that they enjoy. It is by exploring, trying, failing, and persisting that students learn what they love. This goes for every subject, but especially art. The possibilities are endless when you’re in the studio! By giving students the opportunity to experiment with many types of different materials and processes, they can find their “thing.” When they leave our classes, they can go on to use art as a tool for communication, self-expression, and possibly even employment.
