Studies show that students who are involved in some kind of physical activity within the classroom have more behaviors of being on task. In my classroom, my students struggle to stay on task and finish assignments at a timely manner. I want to be able to provide opportunities for my students to be successful and self-directed learners now so that they can be self-directed learners later. These flexible seating ideas will definitely help my students be able to better understand lessons while being physically active. My students will also have the opportunity to be more self-award of what types of seating and environment will help them learn the best. With the different choices of flexible seating, this will empower my students to make choices.
