The school I teach at uses a program called Accelerated Reader. Accelerated Reader is a computer-based program that schools may use to monitor reading practice and progress. It helps teachers guide kids to books that are on kids’ individual reading levels. Kids take short quizzes after reading a book to check if they’ve understood it. Here is the catch, only certain books have quizzes. In order to take the quizzes, the students obviously need the books. You cannot do much in life without being able to read and you cannot do much reading without books! Please donate to my project so that I can purchase the books that my students need!
