The use of math manipulatives and math games will have my 8th grade math students even more excited about learning math on a daily basis. I provide my students with exciting and creative lessons daily, but we are always yearning for more to use in our classroom. With the use of math games, students will find that math can be fun and motivating. By donating to our project, students will have more opportunities to learn math through the use of games (Quizmo math games, Nasco Quad Factors Game, Algebra Equations Bingo), manipulatives (wipe-off white boards with x and y axis, Order of Operations flash cards) and a variety of materials that can help them think outside the box. My students work in cooperative learning groups a lot, but they can learn even more with the use of new games and teaching materials for their teacher. My students are more engaged, attentive, and more likely to be peer helpers when given the materials and opportunities to use math in a variety of ways.
