The tablets with cases will be used for individualized centers in my classroom. We have centers on a daily basis. We have 4 centers that really maximize hands-on learning by trying to stay away from worksheets. These tablets will help reach that goal. We also have multiple computer programs the students work on that THANKFULLY also have apps now. The tablets would make it SO MUCH EASIER for students to pick up, and go get comfortable on the carpet or in our classroom library. My kids have also learned the meaning of "taking care of our things." So that is nothing to worry about! However, the case is to ensure the tablet's safety in case of an accident. The headphones will also be used for the tablets and in my daily listening center, and they will give the students to independently listen to their learning games or audio books.
These donations will give my students more opportunity to grow or to show growth for testing.
I don't let my kids fall through the cracks and this project will ensure that. These donations also give my students another example of why they shouldn't give up or stop trying. I tell them everyday that I do not want to hear the word "can't." There are too many things out there to help them. All they have to do is ask.
The charging station will help teach them responsibility by giving them a place to clean up and put things where they belong to ensure that they are ready for the next student to use.
