The 5 MP 3 players will be used in our classroom daily as a part of our Daily 5 Listen to Reading rotation. The Fire Tablets will enable my students to more deeply interact with texts that we are reading in the classroom. Daily 5 is a way of teaching the love of reading and writing in the classroom. Students rotate through stations throughout the day such as Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Work on Writing, and Word Work. It allows the students more independence as well as time for me to work with smaller groups of students. I want to instill the love of reading and words to my students. Many of them are below grade level readers. The ability to listen and respond to a grade level book read to them will help to become stronger, more independent readers.
