When you were in second grade, was your seat comfortable? I know mine wasn't! My goal is to allow students to take charge of their learning by allowing them to make the best seating choice. Currently, my students are allowed to work on the floor with a couple of lap desks, on the carpet, and on the floor with pillows. I want to keep my students motivated and allowing them to choose their seat in the classroom will definitely help! With the few seating choices that my students currently have I have noticed a difference in them. They complete their work quicker and effectively. My students are more engaged when seated in their seat of choice rather than a regular desk. My students are not only more engaged but they are less disruptive of their peers when they are allowed to sit in a seat of their choice. All of the products that I have chosen will assist my students in choosing a seat in which will allow them to be the best learner they can be. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to sit at a desk but will still allow some movement. These seats will be extremely beneficial for those students who love to wiggle in their chairs. The bean bag refills will allow me to fill the empty beanbags that I have purchased. Students can sit anywhere with the beanbags and the stools; they are not difficult to move around and they are comfortable. Choice can be a motivator and it positively affects students. Hopefully, I can continue to motivate my students with these additional seating arrangements.
