In my flexible seating classroom, there will be wobble chairs, balance ball seats, comfy floor seats, wobble cushions, and standing desks. Each seating option will allow for continued movement throughout the day, increasing students’ focus and readiness to learn. Ultimately, this will result in higher academic achievement and improved behavior. Students will have the opportunity to choose the learning space that is suitable to their style of learning. As stated above, there will be multiple seating options to provide for the various learning styles of my students. They will have the ability to take charge of their environment, making the choices that are most beneficial for them. A happy, healthy, and productive classroom can be further established when students are immersed in an environment that consists of flexible seating.
