I have selected 30 titles that are culturally relevant, engaging, and showcase the importance of kindness, love, and acceptance. My goal is to share my passion for reading with all the students I teach and to create life-long readers. These books will connect to our curriculum, tie-in with our character education instruction, and most importantly, foster a love of reading. My students take turns reading aloud to the class and look forward to their opportunity to do so. We have rich discussions about the books we read together and it truly has become the foundation for all of the learning in our classroom.

About my class
