My students are part of the national Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program that encourages students to pursue STEM careers. They are taking Introduction to Engineering Design as their first course in our Polytech/Engineering academy. They are learning about engineering in high school to prepare them for technical careers in the future. The students have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit in this course. In order to earn the college credit, they must submit an electronic portfolio of their work for review. The better the quality, the more chance they have of getting the credit.
