Creating a warm, welcoming, and happy learning environment is crucial to helping my students be successful. These items, such as the florescent light covers, will create a classroom where my students can be comfortable and be able to learn more productively. I have a lot of busy kiddos who have a hard time sitting still. The wobble cushions and kick bands will help them to release that energy while still being able to sit in chairs around the room or at their desks. The wobble cushions and kick bands will also encourage the students to 'sit on their pockets' in their seats instead of sitting in unsafe ways on their chairs. The flexible seating options give students places to sit around the classroom so that they can work together or individually while being comfortable. The donut balls, saucer chair, the rug, and floor pillows, along with the lap desks, will give my students the opportunity to spread out while maintaining and improving productivity. From the few options I have available currently, I can see that my students are anxious and excited to work in these areas. They are more focused and produce better quality work when they are in a comfortable space. A classroom chromebook would give the students a resource that they could utilize to explore the world around them. A portable device, like a chromebook, would let them work on projects and develop more technology skills, while also being able to use the flexible seating options. The organizational products will help me to set up a classroom where the students will be able to have access to resources, as well as work they have missed. This will help the students to take control over and responsibility for their own work and success.
