I teach for Ferguson-Florissant School District where I teach 7th grade ELA. Many of my students are being raised in a single-parent home and receive free breakfast and lunch due to lower socioeconomic status. My budget is very low so getting materials can be a challenge. Anything that I need for my students I have to buy or ask for donations. Because I cannot control my students' home life, I try to make their school home as positive, fun and inviting as possible. My students are intelligent and fun children who deserve the best, and I would like to provide that for them.
