The books I have ordered will help to create a culturally rich classroom library that my students need and deserve. They need to see positive everyday images of themselves in the print they are exposed too. Having access to a wide range of levels will allow ALL readers in my class to further their love of reading because it will be accessible to them. My students have shown their eagerness to read and to find interesting topics to learn about. Having a classroom library with a wide range of reading levels will allow students to select books at their appropriate reading level. I have students who know they struggle with reading but at the same time are eager to learn which is why this library is crucial to their success. I know my students are eager to begin their journey of discovery through reading. Reading will not only open up their imagination but will also allow them to explore topics they may not experience in their day to day living.
