My class consists of Kindergarten and First grade Special needs students. I teach students with a wide range of special needs: students, who are on the spectrum, students with physical disabilities and cognitive disabilities. My students come from various social and economic backgrounds. Some of them are experiencing a school setting for the first time. They are very motivated and eager to experience the world of Reading through technology. In my opinion it doesn't matter what background a student comes from or the many difficult challenges they face, what really matters is that every child is capable of learning with the proper tools and in the right environment. My students lack fine-motor skills as a result of their disability. A touchscreen laptop can be used in all subject areas: reading, math, science, and SS.
