My first graders are going to learn so much this school year. I'm excited to see them become better readers and writers, but there are a few things they'll need to make that happen. The items received through this project will improve students' reading fluency, and hopefully their love for reading. They will need the Connect & Store Book Bins to keep their book that they'll read independently. We are currently using cardboard magazine files I was able to buy, but some are already falling apart. My readers need a variety of texts as they explore different genres and text types. As I add books to my classroom library, I will need the extra storage that a new bookcase will provide. Students will work at my small group table daily. I will be able to use the plastic stack stools at my guided reading table and it will help my students to focus. A little variety in seating will add extra appeal and excitement to reading at the teacher table. I am so looking forward to this year with my wonderful students, and I really appreciate your support!
