Research mentions numerous benefits of the integration of technology in the classroom. Students become engaged in learning while they are also having fun and interacting with other students. Technology is all over, but unfortunately not all students are exposed to it due to lack of funds. Research also indicates that technology helps to improve student learning and growth inside and outside the classroom. Through the integration of technology in the classroom, students' literacy and mathematics learning will improve during independent centers. During centers, students will spend about 30 minutes incorporating technology to build on literacy skills and 30 minutes to build on math skills. Students will independently use these tablets to work on phonics, fluency, comprehension, reading skills, addition and subtraction, geometry and more. With the limited use of technology, I have seen how technology engages and improves learning for students who are English language learners and diverse learners.
