Sensory play is one of the best ways to help develop a child's overall academic process. When using this sensory table, my students will develop their fine motor skills, interact with the items in the table in ways that get them to count, organize, match, and label objects and interact verbally with peers to develop their social and emotional skills. They will also be able to use their own natural curiosity to investigate the how and why of different materials while using all 5 of their senses. I can't wait to watch them chip away at plastic fish frozen in ice or smell the rich aroma of coffee beans as they run through their fingertips!

About my class
