Materials such as notebooks, reading books and alternative seating will help them make choices that work best for them. Making sure students are comfortable and well prepared are essential components in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given autonomy in their seating, reading, and writing. The students will utilize these resources daily in the classroom. They will read the books that they select (student choice is SO important) and then respond in the notebooks. Students will make connections from their readings to their personal lives and use the notebooks to catalog their feelings. Student choice is also important for their seating. Alternative seating has been proven to help learners lean in to the class and the lesson. These materials will continue to enhance enrichment in the classroom that I strive to create. Every student in my class is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to express themselves whether visually, orally, audibly, or tactilely. All of these materials have been chosen with my students in mind-I know that they would be grateful to have anything from the list. Thank you for making a difference in my students' lives!
