My first grade students crave new and exciting books and audiobooks to learn how to read and enjoy literature from a young age. My students come from all kinds of backgrounds and academic levels. A great majority of students at my school have a parent or parents in the military. These sweet children often have to move after only a couple of years in our school. My goal is to instill a love of reading and a solid foundation in phonics to these children while they are in my care. This is best done with quality materials that engage students in a visual, auditory, and kinestetic way.
