All of my students need different types of resources and or materials to meet their individual needs. I have students with AU, emotional trauma and social disconnect issues. My students need to be able to function at a high level along with their peers in order to be successful and to feel a sense of accomplishment. Most of my students need sensory tools and calming materials. The students are spread throughout many different classrooms, therefore the materials will distributed by need. By providing this extra support for these students, the teachers can begin to see improvements with behavior and see academic success as well. The fidget toys, sensory seating, bouncy bands and timers will help with the students that have focusing and hyper active disorders. The assistive technology along with the other items listed above will be geared to use with our AU students. The lighting items are to use in our FOCUS classroom for a calming affect that helps the students feel more relaxed.
