I currently have two bungee chairs in my classroom and they have seen better days! These chairs are used for special rewards, learning incentives, and even learning stations. Since implementing these flexible seating options, I have seen even my most stubborn of students excited to complete a task in the chairs. Flexible seating helps my over-energetic students focus their attention, engage in more difficult tasks, and make decisions independently. My student's are able to channel their extra energy and better focus on the task at hand when they choose to sit in the bungee chair. Since I only have two chairs currently, often times they are used as incentives and motivation. I would love to give this seating option to more of my students, so that everyone can choose the learning space that best suits their own individual needs.
