When I moved into my classroom, I inherited a few sets of sorrowful novels. I'm not referring to the theme of the stories, but the sad condition of these books. Each of them has torn, or missing covers and the pages are yellowish and smell stinky. Having a class set of Roald Dahl's Book "The BFG" will allow my 30 students to each have their book to read, touch, and smell. Also, having "The BFG" my class can participate in this year's Global Read Aloud. We are going to read and collaborate with another 5th-grade class through Skype and Edmodo.
