My students are all 7th and 8th graders who are brand new to the culinary arts or come from some experience at home. The majority are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and various ethnicities. I introduce them to (and they use) many culinary tools and enjoy making scrumptious recipes. They learn about the variety of careers in the industry and have visits from local chefs and industry experts.
