Since the new year has started, our school has had to make changes to how lunch is given to all students in a safe and healthy way. Because of this, my class's lunch has been set at 10:30 in the morning. This causes a very long afternoon and by 2:00, we're all hungry. I want my students to be able to have a healthy snack with their friends without having to worry if they were packed one in the morning or not. I have many students who don't come with a snack, and I make sure they have something to enjoy while others do as well. Some healthy snacks I have for them include granola bars, Gold Fish, Slim Jims, and veggie sticks. I also have items for my students to be able to buy with their economy points! I want them to be able to cash in on something sweet if they'd like to or save up for something bigger! I think it is important to have some kind of classroom economy for positive behavior and "job well done"s to contribute to money skills and saving. Thank you for considering my project!
