My students will get to experience different people, places, and animals through these books! It will encourage their love of reading. After we did a biography project, my students have all on their own chosen to read another Who Was biography. It always makes a teacher happy when you find something their students love! When they presented, other classmates wanted to know more about that person and would ask questions. Many have since checked out a book their friend presented on so they could learn more. I've had students ask if their is a certain Who Was book about a person. Many times there is, but I don't have the book. The National Geographic readers are also great for students. They come in different levels and are good resources for me to pull with reading groups.
