My favorite thing to do as an English teacher is reading books and talking about them. Classroom discussions with my students often lead to further conversations about other books they (or I) have read. I would like to have a lending library/bookshelf in my classroom filled with the novels we are excited to share with others. The first step in developing Mrs. Hyde's Classroom Library is to obtain a bookshelf to house the novels. I have a many books from my own collection to place on the shelves, but I am hoping to get donations from students and staff. I can't wait to have so many books to offer that the students will have difficulty making a choice!
