I teach Family and Consumer Sciences courses in a small rural area. My classes are Introduction to Human Studies, Lifespan Development, and Teaching as a Profession. Many of my students want to have careers such as teachers, counselors, social workers, and nurses. In my classroom, we focus on life skills, interpersonal communication, and career preparation. Our local FCCLA chapter is very active with over 100 members. My FCCLA officers and members are dedicated to helping in their families, schools, and communities.
