I recently have added flexible seating options in my classroom. Students have Yoga balls instead of hard chairs and other limited flexible seating options. This has increased their on-task behavior. My students will enjoy using flexible seating options for independent work, collaborative discussions, and independent reading. This ability to move helps their attention. Having a comfortable seat allows them to read and work efficiently. Students need options to work where they feel most productive. I strongly feel that this will provide my students with a comfortable learning environment and therefore increase student learning. The ability to move in an environment is proven to enhance learning, concentration, and attentiveness. Thank you so much for making this possible for them! We are looking for lap desk, saucer chairs, rug, and more to help jump start our flexible seating classroom!
