My students will be able to use the level readers to help develop and reinforce skills they are learning in class. My students are all behind their same aged peers. I try to provide them with multiple ways of learning and practicing the skills we are working on in class. We will use the leveled readers as centers for students to do with partners or small groups, which will also foster social skills, which many of my students are working on, too! We will also use these materials in whole group instruction. With these materials, my students will be able to practice their reading skills they are working so hard to master. My students will be able to use the wiggle stools for reading and when they just can’t it still in their seat. They will have the opportunity to use these materials with our whole group and with partners, which will also help foster positive social skills and peer interactions. Having these materials will benefit my students for life - giving them the reading skills they need for 6th, 7th, 8th grade and beyond.
