STEM is the newest trend in our district. The move from Science lab to STEM lab has been easy for me, except for having access to the "T"...technology. The Ozobots, the little robots, are what is needed in my STEM lab. Coding and Robotics is a huge part of STEM and for good reason, it brings in the technology piece. The students will use these small robots to learn about coding. They'll be able to see right away how their codes translate into action right in front of their eyes! By incorporating the Ozobots into my STEM challenges it'll bring in that missing piece I've been needing. Ozobots not only bring in the technology but also the science thru the use of the scientific method. They also help students explore the engineering process as well as art thru the use of the colors to code and the many areas of math too! Our district's mission is to equip our students with skills for life, Ozobots do just that. Through critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration I'll be helping fulfill that goal.
