Social-emotional well-being is a key indicator of school success. Through teaching lessons on social and emotional topics, students will gain independence in understanding their emotions and ways to cope with them. Throughout the past year and a half, we have seen the negative impact the pandemic has taken on our student's social and emotional well being and therefore I find it integral in providing lessons on these topics as we embark on this new school year. Through the use of Little Spot Stories by Dianne Alber and activities, I hope to provide my students with a space where they can identify and express their emotions. Please help me provide a safe and nurturing environment for my students.
